Long Table, the annual charity committed to giving back to the community will be taking place on Sunday, June 11th and the dresscode is as always: white.

We love a white dress code for many reasons: it’s versatile, easy to style and the color white complements any skin tone. Not sure what you are wearing? We share some fashion do’s and don'ts to keep in mind for Sunday’s dinner event.

1. Do experiment with different fabrics and patterns such as eyelet, linen, cotton, or lace.

Lay out your different fabric options and play dress up before the event to see what pairs best. Gents, this tip counts for you as well: dare to experiment with your fabrics.

2. Don’t over do it with your accessories but do wear statement pieces.

You want to aim for a polished effortless look. It’s always a safe choice to style your white look with pearls, silver or gold jewelry, that is if you are doubting whether to wear colored jewelry pieces. Tip: Emerald and turquoise jewelry pair beautifully with white!

3. Do layer different shades of white to create a chic and sophisticated monochrome look: this counts for your outfit and your accessories.

If you are wearing a white dress for example, don’t be afraid to pair it with an off white bag. Monochrome is a fun way to play with fashion, especially when it’s styled with white.

4. Don’t be afraid to embrace the versatility of white!

Style your white look with a little bit of detail: an interesting pattern or embroidery on your dress or an unexpected silhouette. Have fun with your look and don’t overthink it.

5. Do wear nude or skin tone undergarments with your all-white look.

This one is a very important one for the ladies as white can sometimes be see through. All though the event is a dinner, you will be arriving by sunset, taking photos and mingling so you want to be sure you look and feel your best.
