Welcome to the first blog post of your favorite high-end mall in Aruba: Renaissance Mall. I am so pleased and excited to share monthly fashion content with all of you. But first, let me introduce myself. Aishly here, I am a fashion content creator and let’s say my passion for fashion goes back a long way. Think early 2000’s, when my passion was first initially sparked.
Ok so let's talk about holiday trends cause November is here and we are all gearing up for the upcoming festive season. Well, us fashion lovers have started early at least, we love to put together a good holiday look.
Here are 3 trend examples that you can follow for the upcoming holiday season.
1. Minimalism
So we know the holidays are usually about sequins and glitter. Now I’m not saying we won’t be seeing any of that this year but let’s face it, we have been going through a lot of changes these past two years when it comes to our lifestyles and the fashion industry has really had to adapt to these changes as well. This year it’s more about minimalism.Instead of bold glitter and sequins, think of color ways such as black, off-white, deep red, emerald, teal or champagne.
2. Accessorize!
This one’s a no-brainer. If chosen properly, accessories can compliment the outfit and elevate your whole look. Since we are more into the minimalist look this year, a statement accessory can go a long way. But what is a statement accessory you ask? Think of a bold bracelet, necklace or earring, or shoes. Fort he gents, I did not forget about you. You can also accessorize with your belts, shoes, ties or bowties in bold prints and color.
3. Play with textures
Textures add so much depth to your look. A few textures that you can play with for the holiday season are satin, velvet, feathers or lace. It doesn’t get any more holiday chic than this does it? There is something very special about dressingup for the holiday season so why not try new trends while you’re at it?
So there you have it! I hope these trends are of inspiration to you, whether you are a local reading along, or if you’re a visitor that will be spending the holidays in Aruba.
